Meat and Its Evolutionay Role in the Development of the Human Brain

In this article, the NYTimes columnist Gretchen Reynolds explores the relationship among a healthy diet, a healthy brain and a healthy body by investigating our evolution. She finds that because we as hunter-gathers had to be physically fit to catch our prey, exercise was an essential factor that contributed to growth the brain and in addition to exercise, meat consumption also contributed to the increased size of the human brain. If exercise and meat consumption were so essential to our evolution, wouldn’t you say that both remain essential to our health today?
