Dangers of Mechanically, Tenderized Beef

Ever heard of the process of mechanical tenderization? Well, it is the process in which meat processors poke tiny blades or needles into beef cuts to make it less tough and, in turn, push bacteria deep into the meat causing outbreaks of e. coli.  Mechanically tenderized steaks have been responsible for at least eight recalls and sickened 100 people.
